From the 28th of October 2010, till Christmas Eve 2010, Sony have announced an offer where consumers can reclaim the VAT paid on selected Sony products. Value Added Tax is currently 17.5% in the UK. Sony do state, that due to the way VAT is accounted for, that the reclaim will constitutes 14.89%, and not 17.5% of the retail price.
